The Itchy Feet Pep Band

After successful performances in Hong Kong two years earlier, the organising committee of the Kunming International Tourism Festival contacted The Itchy Feet Pep Band and invited them to perform in China.  This tourism festival featured cultural ensembles from around Asia and its neighbouring countries, and took place through various locations in Kunming.

After an initial setback of not having any instruments or costumes arrive from Australia, the band performed in some of the most spectacular places they’d ever been, including a stadium full of thousands of people, the city square and the stone forest, an area of Kunming millions of years old and renowned for its stunning stone pillars.  This performance was to hundreds of local farmers who, after the official show had finished, put on their own performance of fire and movement.  This was an experience the members of Itchy Feet will never forget.

Itchy Feet once again showed their capability of performing in any situation.
